We’re still sans link, but Mac Observer is reporting that Mac OS X has been proclaimed the OS War winner of 2008. Time for a victory lap. It doesn’t matter if I do it in the parking lot of Denny’s, right?
PC Magazine pitted Mac OS X, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Ubuntu 7.10 against one another in eight different categories. OS X captured 4 of those 8, taking the overall title. Naturally Ubuntu wins on price. OS X wins on installation, interface, bundled software and security. XP wins on third party software, drivers, and networking. Vista won nothing. Actually, allow me to emphasize this more.
Vista did not win a single category.
Yeah. Wow. Embarrassing. Good thing we’re Mac users. Mac pride!

Don't be such a snob!
Woohoo!
I definitely agree with their results. OS X has such an easy installation, but there really is more 3rd party software for XP. I also agree with their networking result, because under Leopard, networking leaves something to be desired.
