While we’ve mostly focused on the rather brazen Psystar and the legal battle they’ve pitched against Apple, Open Tech also offers Mac clones. While it actually seems impossible to complete an order, that was the idea. I put that in the past tense because it seems that is over for now.
The company is for sale. There are few details, but I’d guess that perhaps whatever legal council they had hired told them to get out now. Perhaps Psystar has a couple dollars left to buy the competitor, though that might defeat their antirust case.
