Not content with its British and German stores, Nokia is taking things to the other side of the world, where it’s opening up a new Australian store on April 22.
Is this part of Nokia’s secret plan for world domination? Heck, they already have the bulk of the handset market in most of the rest of the world.
Says News.com.au:Songs will cost $1.70 [AUD, or $1.58 USD] to download - just 1c more than iTunes downloads. Albums will cost $17 [AUD, or $15.80 USD] or more.
Nokia will also offer Australians a subscription package that will let customers stream as much music as they want from the website for a flat fee of $10 a month.
Nokia Music Store Australian manager Karen Farrugia said the company sold more than 146 million music-playing phones last year and was primed to take on other online music stores.
