A friendly tip to Microsoft’s marketing team: Quit. Now. Seriously, before you bring Microsoft more shame than it’s already brought upon itself.
This internal promo, touting the release of SP1, can be described at best as offensive to the human race. It makes a mockery of Bruce Springsteen, Microsoft, Vista (which has already been plenty mocked), and severely corrupts the sanity and soul of whoever may watch it. And this is what Microsoft uses to motivate its sales team? It’s little wonder Vista hasn’t exactly been flying off the shelves.
Go ahead and watch the entire thing; I dare ya.
MacUser is your source for news, info, and opinion about Apple, the Mac, and the iPod. Our dedicated team of bloggers covers everything that is relevant to Mac users — and, okay, some stuff that’s not quite relevant, but is still a lot of fun. (Plus, we've got columns by Andy Ihnatko!)

I can't even watch the full video.. that's the death sentence for anyone who has been ordering this video to be made...
Take this from experience: DO NOT attempt to watch this while eating.
This promo does nauseate.
I seriously could not believe it. I am SHOCKED that the people in it actually didn't request to have their faces blurred out. The song wasn't even rhythmic - the... everything was horrible...
I think Dell finally found a video that out-classed them.
I could not watch this thing and I am a pc user. I got 4 pc's and 3 apples but this makes me want to 'hurl'....No wonder Bill is so rich, people will buy Vista and rejoice in this video thinking it is the best music ever....NOT.
OMg, this is a joke right? Seriously, there is no way this could be a professional production. No way...
Someone at Microsoft actually paid money to have this made. OMG! What were they thinking? But the worst insult is that after watching the finished product, someone actually thought it was cool and approved it.
OH MY GOD!!!! VISTA!! "I Gotta get me some!!!"
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahah....
*ehhhhh*
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahah....
This is so humiliating to watch I can't believe it. How pathetic are you when you have to TELL people "You Rock!" It is just so embarrassing... "Our ecosystem rocks"... nah, I don't think so.
We've got to stop poking fun at Microsoft, they need help, serious professional medical help. I thought Monkey Boy's developers rant was embarrassing, can't wait to see what they do next.
Dear Bill
Hope you're having a nice time. The company is in safe hands, don't worry about us.
We've sold 5 more copies of Vista today. Marketing think they've come up with the perfect answer to those Mac PC ads. We'll show 'em eh!
Regards
Stevo
I just watched 10 seconds of the video and I'm now 15% stupider than I was 10 seconds before.
In a very different way, this is funny, but not quite as funny (or creepy for that matter) as the famous Monkey Boy video.
Is that a MacBook Pro on the desk at the meeting of executives at which the head potato exclaims, "Gotta get me some!"?
You can't teach an old dog new tricks.
Is this for real or some SNL skit?
I have not seen a good or heard a good corporate song. Checkpoint and Symantec both have song and they are of the same caliber as this one. I was at a conference last week and they featured another one, still the same quality. Corporations are in the business to make money , artist are in the business to create art. Not the same thing.
Yay! Let's hear it for Corporate ThinkĀ®! In the corporate world, this is HOT stuff!
ugh.
I was able to stomach the thing in its entirety. Its probably the most aweful thing I have ever seen. I really dislike Bruce Springsteen but I feel sorry for him after that....
Ha! It seems it's we Apple people who are overly serious.
Who cares about Vista anyway? Unless, I guess, for some weird reason you just have to have both Vista and OS X installed on your Mac.
Sheesh! I'm more embarrassed that I spent time commenting than that I let the video play in the background while I did.
What tools...
So typical that when Apple gets a shot taken at it, it's a Feist parody (the SNL "iScrewed Again video), but when MS gets one, it's a rehash of an 80s act.
Much like Microsoft's code.
I'm so glad I live in the UK. We have something called taste!
I hope Microsoft's quality control is better than the quality of that promo!
MAC here I come LOL

It might not be creative/cool. It might not rhyme all the time. It might give you nausea.
But....
What's all the fuss!
Though I've switched after 20+ years of using Windows.
I understand that Microsoft has a 95+ market share. A market value twice Apple's
And don't forget that Bill Gates lent $150 million to Steve to save Apple upon his return to save the company. Without Microsoft, you'd all be talking about "remember Apple Computer?"
Stop being such spoiled snobs and be gracious. For that's truly creative and cool.
