Hidden messages in the Leopard desktop?

It’s no secret Apple likes poking fun at Microsoft, especially when it comes to operating systems. Remember Bertrand Serlet’s “comparison” of Vista and OS X features a few WWDC’s back? Or the “Redmond, start your photocopiers” banners? Flickr user machineboy thinks he’s found a somewhat more hidden and galactic message camouflaged inside the new default Leopard desktop picture. Is there really a “Vista Sux” constellation in Leopardland?

Not so fast… Studying the full-size image, I quickly suspected this dot-connecting exercise to be flawed, and I think it is indeed. For example, the V’s branches aren’t actually linked to any major stars besides the one at the base, nor is the T’s horizontal line. I could go on, but sadly, the amount of time I reserved for wasting today is now completely used up.

Of course, beliefs are subjective, and frankly, star-watching isn’t my speciality. But rest assured that even if it isn’t written in the sky, “Vista Sux” is deeply etched at the very bottom of our hearts.

Or something. Whatever. This Reality Distortion Field is getting to me again.

Well, at least Vista didn't cause BSOD on day one of its release, or have major application incompatibilities, no proper Java support, unbootable systems.

Says who? As an ndependent consultant, I can say that by FAR the vast majority of my calls are for Vista; and I've seen more than a few BSOD's. A new PC my father purchased has BSOD'd on him a few times.

right, vista isn't the problem... its every other piece of hardware and software written for it...

obviously! :D haha.. like the All-in-one "VISTA COMPATBLE" (toted on the outside of the box) canon copier / scanner / printer.

yes! vista compatible..

until you install vista, and find out only the "printing" is compatible with vista, you can't scan, copy, or fax.. you need windows XP for that..

OOPS! go vista go!
