Dell offers competition to Apple with 27” display

Posted by Scott Silverman | Tuesday, January 02, 2007 3:02 PM PT

Dell 2707WPAlthough its release is not official yet, we can confirm the existence of a 27” inch monitor because of Dell’s blunder. Dell accidentally posted a diagram for the upcoming 2702WP display, which confirms certain specs and looks of the monitor. It will sport many different inputs, including DVI, VGA, component, S-Video, and composite. It will also include a four-port USB hub and a 9-in-2 media card reader. The monitor also features a easy adjustment display arm, which is something long admired in the Apple line of Cinema Displays. I will be very interested to learn the price of this device when it’s (purportedly) released at CES next week.

Is the fugly styling a feature or just an unfortunate coincidence? Oh wait, this is Dell. Ugly is no extra charge.
