Hasta La Vista, Windows?

TerminatorOkay, I don’t speak a whit of Spanish, as you can probably tell. According to our far more reputable brethren (and, uh, sistren?) at Macworld, Microsoft has announced that the long-awaited new version of Windows, Vista, has been delayed for consumers until 2007 because of “quality” issues. Frankly, if you still have quality issues at this point, MS, an extra two months is probably not going to be sufficent to iron out the kinks.

Meanwhile, those always publicity-shy analysts are having a field day. Will Vista’s loss be OS X’s gain? Color me skepterific.

Re: Vista’s delay, one important question about Microsoft’s next OS has yet to be answered: will it be ready in time for Duke Nukem Forever?
