New Kodak EasyShare cameras, just in time for summer

kodak easyshare camera.jpgJune’s such a busy month. In addition to WWDC 2007, there’s also school graduations and Father’s Day. While I suppose an Apple developer wouldn’t be averse to a present or two, it’s usually the latter two occasions that call for gifts. It’s probably no surprise then, that Kodak has some new digital cameras. Ooh, aren’t they clever! The EasyShare M-series of digital cameras will be available beginning this month, ranging from $149 (the EasyShare M753) to $229 (EasyShare M883 which arrives in September). In addition to sporting stylish cases in a variety of colors, the four camera models all feature 3x optical zoom, digital image stabilization, and HD still capture.

Like other Kodak EasyShare cameras, the M-series can work with Kodak’s EasyShare photo printers and docks for transferring and printing pictures. The M-series works with both Macs and PCs. I personally recommend eschewing the bundled EasyShare software and using iPhoto, Apple’s Aperture or Adobe’s Lightroom because the EasyShare software seems clunky at best. Other people’s mileage may vary though.
