Woz on why YOU are a fanatic

Woz interview Gizmodo recently interviewed, the man, the legend, the Woz. During part of his interview he commented on what has made the Mac fans “so fanatical”. Please note, those are Gizmodo’s words. I prefer to call us a strong, close knit community, but that’s just silly fanboy terminology.

Woz talks about a passion that’s fueled by, among other things, a shrinking marketshare that left the remaining customers that were the diehards. He might have a point, but more recently, more and more fans are recent “switchers”. Anyway, if you’re a true fanatic, you can’t get enough of Steve Wozniak. The power of the reality distortion field compels you. The power of the reality distortion field compels you.

Am a die-hard mac user/fan but I totally don't like Woz at all. Read his book which totally bored me. I still have the idea that if Woz nv had the good luck of meeting Jobs, he would have just remained as another boring old engineer at HP.

And if Jobs had never met Woz, where do you think he'd be, Ryu? Apple doesn't exist with out both men. It's not like Woz dismisses Jobs's role. He has always spoken highly of him in every interview I have read/seen. That says a lot given the way Jobs treated him at times.
