Woz just can’t get enough of the absurd

HummerSo if he’s not writing a book, filming a movie about hacking, or playing Segway polo, what else might the infamous Woz be up to? Well wonder no more, because Steve Wozniak will be:

participating in an expedition planned for December 2007 in which a group will drive Hummers running on hydrogen powered fuel cells from McMurdo Station to the South Pole. Woz said his particular vehicle would be co-piloted by Buzz Aldrin, who walked on the moon in 1969. The expedition is to be filmed in 3D for the director James Cameron.

Woz better watch out for that Aldrin feller. He "fixed" a whited-out vldeo cam on the moon by whacking it with a hammer. Fixed it permanently inoperable.

No telling what he'd do to a stalled Humbug down south under.

Great - now they are driving Hummers across the south pole ! When will American's (and humans in general) realise that the wilderness, especially the last true one, is NOT a playground for pointless publicity stunt expeditions like this ?

OK, so they are hydrogen powered, but still - why can't they drive them across LA or something ?
