You may remember our last mention of The MacTech 25, a collection of the 25 most influential people in the Mac community. Included on the list were writers (Andy Ihnatko, John Gruber, and Hint Guru Rob Griffiths), developers (Brent Simmons, Daniel Jalkut, Gus Mueller) and writers about development (Aaron Hillegass, Scott Stevenson). Honorable mentions included Merlin Mann, David Pogue, and Leo Laporte.
The MacTech 25 was determined by user votes. MacTech merely tallied the votes, then had the following to say about the final count.
There’s a stronger developer presence this year—a group of people that have clear influence in the Macintosh community. From coming up with foundational ideas to doing things with technology that no one had envisioned, these are core influencers.
I personally would’ve liked to see Dan Moren on the list, figuring it would boost my influence by association, but I suppose we’ll that will have to wait until next year.
