The Cook is in the kitchen with Steve Jobs. Tim Cook that is. The Wall Street Journal has profiled Cook and why he’ll like be Jobs successor. He’s not the showman that Jobs is (boom). However, he’s been instrumental to the company.
The two officers that Apple has been investigating still haven’t been identified, and there’s concern he’s one, which means bad things for Apple long term. He’s terribly instrumental to the actual operation of Apple where Jobs continues to sustain the mystique that makes Apple a media darling. I get the feeling from the piece that when Jobs leaves, the big problems is getting a dynamic personality that can be the front man everyone pays attention to.
Candidates anyone?
Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I've always wanted to be a charismatic figurehead.
Al Gore. Much more charismatic these days (since the movie), an Apple insider and a technology freak.
