Every once in a while, we hear some Apple fan do something that can put even the most seasoned Apple fanatics to shame. Here’s one such story for your envying pleasure.
Dan Budiac, a longtime Mac user, apparently had some 2,500 odd bucks lying around doing nothing useful, so he did what any Apple fanboy would do with it — he bought an unopened Apple IIc in mint condition off eBay and has now posted several shots of the unboxing of the spanking new machine (depending on how you define the term) on Flickr. This machine has been in that box ever since it was shipped on 5 May 1988, twenty years ago. The colorful Apple logo of yore is all over the place and the whole thing just looks like the ultimate geek’s wet dream come true.
So does Mr. Dan intend to sell it off to someone and rake in some profit? Apparently not. Dan says that he “can’t see wanting to part with this computer, ever”. Ah well, at least it comes with the guarantee of never being outdated due to a future release. Just don’t expect much in the way of customer support from Apple, sir.

Awesome. One of the best computers I ever had.
