Intel CEO has “Mac Inside”

Paul OtelliniIntel has gone from being part of the powerful anti-Apple hegemony to its most strident ally, a change reflected even on a personal level. In an interview with Business Week, Intel CEO Paul Otellini revealed his deepest, darkest secret: he’s a Mac user.

“My wife and I both have iPhones. My wife came in with a jacket for her phone. She was all excited. It’s a flimsy little thing. It cost $39. It probably cost 6¢ to make.” He adds that he uses a ThinkPad for work and a MacBook Pro for his personal life, including his personal photos and music.
But come now, Pauly. What’s up with the dichotomy? Do you have some sort of alter ego, Bruce Wayne/Batman situation going on here? I mean, we presume that Paul knows his MacBook Pro can run both Windows and OS X, so we prefer to think that he would not dare taint his shiny silver notebook with the likes of XP or—gasp—Vista. Well, that and he knew what was good for him where Steve Jobs is involved. After all, he didn’t get to being CEO of the world’s largest microprocessor maker by being foolhardy. Despite what that picture might suggest.

My Dad rocks a ThinkPad at work because he's afraid people would call him a hippie or something if he showed up with a Mac.
