Fake Steve says goodbye to Forbes, hello to Newsweek

Posted by David Dahlquist | Friday, June 13, 2008 3:50 PM PT

fake steve.jpgDan Lyons, a man most of us know as the Fake Steve Jobs, is leaving Forbes after 10 years to fill a vacancy at Newsweek left by Steve Levy, who is moving on to Wired.

Apparently, Lyons is leaving Forbes on good terms, with Forbes AME Bruce Upbin calling Lyons a “tremendous reporter and columnist”, and adding that “saying we wish him well is an understatement”.

There’s no word yet regarding the financial underpinnings of this move, but since Lyons owns the rights to FSJ, it looks like he’ll be moving the blog to Newsweek, although he’s also itching to start some new stuff as well.

Here’s to a bright future for FSJ at his fancy new home in Newsweek.
