If you’re a regular reader of Fake Steve Jobs, you might recall that a while back, he was looking for a backer. He was looking for a little moolah to keep the blog going. Wired stepped up and soon thereafter, the site was plastered with advertisements for the magazine.
A visit today looks a bit different. All the evidence that Wired had anything to do with the site is gone. Valleywag got a hold of the fake CEO (link dead as of publication) to find out what happened.
I dropped them. I’m weighing a few different new deals and wanted to be free of any ties while I negotiate with new partners. I do miss the money though, I must admit.
Considering Denton’s obvious interest and the sudden disappearance of this article, I have to wonder. Is Gawker making a play for FSJ?
