eBay find: Linus Torvalds signed Powerbook

Linus Powerbook You really can find anything on eBay. If you’re a Mac and Linux fan (can you be both at the same time?), you’ll want to check out this 12” Powerbook. As far as I’m concerned, being the tiny laptop snob that I am, the current $993.50 (approximate in USD) is worth it just for the hardware itself. Open source luminaries have all put down their John Hancock.

  • Linus Torvalds - Founder and chief architect of the Linux operating system
  • John “maddog” Hall - Executive Director of Linux International, author of “Linux for Dummies”
  • Andrew “tridge” Tridgell - Main author of Samba and rsync
  • Havoc Pennington - Gnome hacker and maintainer of metacity, gconf, gnome-terminal and freedesktop.org
  • Paul Mackerras - Maintainer of LinuxPPC32 and LinuxPPC64
  • Ben Herrenschmidt - Main porter of Linux to Apple
  • Bdale Garbee - HP Linux CTO and former Debian project leader

Add the fact that it was signed in Australia, you know you have to have it. You only have until the 28th, so get bidding.
