Someday, I hope to get the same treatment as Steve Wozniak (contractually depicted here playing Segway polo). When I mentioned this to a friend of mine, she suggested I should work on being “innovative…and friends with Steve Jobs.” Well, I think I’ve come about as close to Stevie J. as I ever will (or the restraining order will allow). As for being innovative, well, we know I won’t be making any computers, so if I’m going to innovate with anything, it’s likely to be my unparalleled skills at neologization (or “new-word-making-up…ping”).
Regardless, that’s not terribly likely to get me the full Woz—let me rephrase that. It’s not likely to get me treatment of the kind mentioned in this Seattle Times interview with Woz:
Q. What’s it like being Steve Wozniak and shopping in an Apple store? Are you recognized?Although once they did give me a s-video to composite video adapter for free. It was the best day ever.A. I was in Boston once. I needed two AC adapters. I ran into this new Apple store. I went up to the counter, “I’d like two 65-watt AC adapters.” I didn’t say anything about who I was. And they bring them out. I say, “How much?” They say, “We are expensing it.” I said, “Yeah, but how do I pay for it?” They said, “No, no, no - we are allowed to give gifts to special people.”

Moving up in the (Mac)World.
Maybe they'll give you a free VGA adapter next.
You better believe it. Next, I'm going to try for some free Apple stickers.
Is it just me, or are there a heck of a lot of Dan's posting on here? Maybe it's time to change my screen name...
Actually I think it's just me. I've been really bored lately and have been commenting the crap out of worldofapple, macuser, macworld, and thinksecret. Man I need a life.
