We’re all still getting over the shock of losing Avie from Apple, but he’s landed on his feet at Tellme. He’ll be a member of their board of directors. They describe themselves as:
Tellme operates the world’s largest Internet application network for the phone, handling billions of calls per year and used by more than 30 million people every month.
Basically it breaks down to those systems that you speak to ask for things instead of navigating via numbered menus. I think the last system of that type I used was Fedex’s.
“Tellme is set to revolutionize how every consumer uses a telephone based on its Internet-based open platform, which is accessible from any phone. I’m excited to be working with the Tellme team on the tremendous opportunities before us,” said Avie.
I wish him good luck in his new endeavor.
