What’s it going to be then, eh? Reports are in that the UK, Dutch, Belgium, German, French, Swedish and Norwegian stores are currently down, which have many a European Apple fan hoping for an iPhone release in their country—or at least a price drop on something.
Of course this could also simply be site maintenance, but that wouldn’t be any fun, would it? Stay tuned as we bite our nails and hope for the best.

Kinda funny how for you the UK is not a part of Europe.
Also cool: finally the European Apple Stores get to fight back and annoy you. I would love this to be price corrections (with the Euro above $1.55 and all). Would be cool if the iPhone cost 360€ and no more 400€ from now on. But I guess Apple likes it’s 1:1 currency conversion a lot more.
@michael: Americans often view the UK and the rest of Europe as slightly different entities, even though the UK is part of the EU. This should be understandable seeing as how the UK is a separate land mass, with separate currency, and even separate power adapters (and why don't the mainland European states drive on the left?). So the differentiation wasn't out of ignorance so much as for clarification purposes.
As a Brit, let me assure you that the vast majority of my fellow countrymen also see a distinction between the UK and Europe. It is quite usual for us to refer to 'Europe' as the continental countries minus us. So for all your Limey readers, if you'd just said that the European stores were down, we'd probably have assumed you didn't mean the the UK.
At a glance this morning, I can't see what's changed though...
Ah yeah, those strange Brits, alsways doin’ their own thing ;-)
Nothing changed in the German store either. Damned maintenance. Get some modern store software already, so that you don’t have to annoy us anymore, Apple.
uk is in europe u dumbo
