Yes, at last it has happened! The moment we’ve all been waiting for! XP has officially been booted natively on an Intel Mac! Wahoo! Hooray! Narf2006 and blanka, the programmers who posted screenshots and a video of XP running on an Intel iMac online, have had their solution approved, and are now the proud owners of $13,000. The solution will be posted online soon, including how they wrote their own bootloader for dual-booting in either OS X or XP. Now that that bridge has been crossed, who knows what’s next? Maybe an easy-to-use installer? VPC 8? Or maybe even Apple support built-in for dual-booting? But all that matters now is that finally, after over two months, it’s been done.
