Strapped for cash, but want a Mac? Apple’s online store is offering some pretty sweet refurbished Mac deals, with current-generation iMacs going for as little as $1,249 and MacBooks starting at $849.

Included in the list is a refurbished iMac 24-inch 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo going for $1,399, which is a full $600 off its original price. Unlike the MacBooks, these bad boys come with a dedicated graphics card, so you can be free to WoW away.

These are just a few of the deals listed in the refurbished section, so go ahead and check it out. See if you can’t give these poor abandoned Macs the tender loving care they deserve.

You are absolutely right. I recently bought a refurbished iMac (24" 2.8Ghz Extreme, 2Gb RAM, 500Gb) and I am far from disappointed. There isn't a scratch on the machine as it was as if the packaging had never been opened. The drive was freshly formatted and imaged with Leopard, and all accessories were present and correct. So I saved about $300 and got a basically brand new machine.
