In case you’ve missed it, the Mothership is holding its annual Readers’ Choice Awards and you’re invited to vote. This year, the awards for the public are no longer restricted to software and hardware of the year: candidates have been separated into four categories: Apple Product of the Year, Third-Party Product of the Year, Third-Party Software of the Year and Mac Gem of the Year.

Voting is open until Thursday, November 15th. Several Cupertino creations are competing for the Apple Product of the Year, including the iPhone, iPod touch, aluminum iMacs, and Leopard. As for the hardware, your choice won’t be too easy, with candidates ranging from cameras to hard drives. Contenders for the year’s best software product consist of Photoshop CS3, Parallels Desktop 3, VMWare Fusion, and others. And finally, 1Password, Handbrake and MarsEdit 2, among others, are competing for the Mac Gem of the Year.

Choose wisely, and visit Macworld if you’d like to vote.

I voted:
Favorite Apple Product: iPhone
Favorite Mac Gem: 1Password
Favorite Hardware Product: No Answer. Would have chose iPhone if available. I know, already mentioned in one category, but so what.
Favorite Application: No Answer. Would have chose iTunes since it is what allows me to bring all my data with me on my iPhone.
