In stark contrast to Cyrus’s piece last week about being arrested for listening to your iPod comes a story about police using an iPod to help the victim of a hit-and-run.
Ashlyn Dyer had no identification on her when she was struck by a car while jogging in San Francisco’s Presidio on Thursday morning. The incident left her unconscious, and so police were not able to ascertain her identity until they traced the serial number on her iPod.
In all seriousness, I always make sure to carry ID with me when I run, for just such an eventuality. It may seem like a small thing, but you never know what might make a huge difference.

Yup, I always have a copy of my passport in my back pocket when i go jogging, and my keyring has a barcode for my supermarket that could also be used eventually for ID purposes.
