Apple plans an expansion of the HQ

Apple's new campus in CupertinoIf you needed any further proof of Apple’s remarkable ascent to success and immense profitability, here it is. Apple’s sales figures have reached from $6 billion to $20 billion in recent years, resulting in the company’s hiring of a lot of new employees for the headquarters in Cupertino.

The existing campus at 1, Infinite Loop is starting to feel a bit cramped now, we assume, so Apple is reported to have acquired buildings abandoned by Hewlett-Packard and plans to expand its existing campus to include these new buildings. Several signs on HP’s buildings, about a mile away from Apple’s existing campus, have been painted over and replaced with the ubiquitous Apple logo.

So why is Apple so adamant on staying in Cupertino? I guess it does not take a genius to figure out that Jobs wants all the important stuff to stay right under his nose to avoid leaks and counter all those pesky sniffers. Smooth, isn’t he!

An expansion? Sounds like Apple is doing very well.

Besides, all their stuff is stamped "Designed by Apple in California".

It would stink to have to change it to say "Designed by Apple in California, and some new stuff a fews states over."

LOL! Yeah, that could be one of the reasons too. I'm surprised it never occurred to me, given my fascination with that line of text stamped on the back of my Mac. :p
