Led Zeppelin fanboys, rejoice! We reported back in July that a compilation album of the band’s greatest hits would be released on iTunes sometime in November, marking the first time the likes of “Stairway to Heaven” would be available for digital download. As it turns out, that’s just the tip of the iceberg airship.
Reuters is reporting that Zeppelin’s entire catalog will make the jump to the Intertube. Starting on November 13th, the band’s discography will hit not just iTunes but all online music retailers.
“The addition of the digital option will better enable fans to obtain their music in whichever manner they prefer,” [guitarist Jimmy Page] said in a statement.Furthermore, Zeppelin has made a deal with Verizon Wireless to offer ringtones as well as full song downloads—no word on whether the songs will be available as ringtones from iTunes as well, but I suspect the deal with Verizon might be exclusive, at least for a while.
Now, at the risk of public castigation, I admit that I know far more about actual zeppelins than I do about Led Zeppelin, but I certainly look forward to expanding my horizons when they’re available on iTunes.

Actually, i'm more glad that Led Zeppelin will be online than The Beatles. Led Zeppelin are the godfathers of Hard Rock and a bigger influence in the rock scene (IMHO).
