Wal-Mart sees iTunes as a threat; responds with a threat

Walmart logoWal-Mart, the world’s largest retailer, is offering up a threat to movie studios who may decide to offer their movies on iTunes. The fact that iTunes’ movie prices are lower than those of Wal-Mart’s DVDs has them really ticked. Wal-Mart seems to be stopping at nothing to ensure their sales of DVDs remain at the highest level in the industry. Supposedly, things have been so heated recently that Steve Jobs himself phoned the CEO of Wal-Mart to ask him to “moderate his stance.” It doesn’t seem like Wal-Mart will be loosening up. Then again, what else would you expect from the world’s most ethical largest retailer?
