Music visualizers: They work on crying babies too

screenshotvisualizer.jpgIf a crying, cranky baby can’t be comforted by the usual enticements—food, diaper change, nap, etc.—then some soothing music and the iTunes visualizer might be in order (or I guess you could just use the visualizer while listening to music by yourself. If you want to). For extra fun, consider G-Force which originally licensed its visualizer technology to iTunes (audio output only). The Platinum version ($30) allows you to use G-Force with several audio input options, including line-in, microphone, and CD-audio input. G-Force is compatible with Macs and PCs, and several audio players besides iTunes. G-Force Platinum can also be used as a stand-alone application, or as a screensaver. How’s that for a nap-inducing activity?

It's so true! I discovered this 3-4 months ago while my 1 1/2 yr. old niece was sitting next to me and started crying and as I was listening to itunes I just thought the Visualizer might distract her a bit. Guess what! IT MADE HER STOP! I was surprised the way she stopped, it was sudden. So being curious I tried a small experiment. I stopped the visualizer halfway and BEHOLD!...the CRYING GAME began again. And I switched it back on but this time with my Macbook Pro isight switched on to record this event.
Apple should come out with iLullaby or something now!!
Tried and tested.. go for it!
