Our British brethren at Macworld UK have confirmed the possibility that The Beatles may be appearing on iTunes soon. While speaking during the Apple vs. Apple trial last week, Apple Corps label boss Neil Aspinall is quoted as saying the following:
I think it would be wrong to offer downloads of the old masters when I am making new masters. It would be better to wait and try to do them both simultaneously so that you then get the publicity of the new masters and the downloading, rather than just doing it ad hoc.Apple Corps has confirmed that this statement is correct, but the label would not comment further. First they’re suing, and then they’re talking about a deal. Talk about mystery.
