Call and response: Q4 2008 financials scheduled

Peter Oppenheimer and Tim CookHold onto your hats. If you’re not wearing a hat, hold onto your hair. Or your head. Or something else that starts with “h.” Hold onto your hearts. Because we’re getting ready for one of those moments so rare that it comes just four times a year. You know what I’m talkin’ bout.

We’re getting ready for the quarterly financial conference call. Apple has announced that the call that gives us our four-times-yearly quota of financial jibber-jabber will be taking place on October 21st, at 2PM Pacific/5PM Eastern. That’s a Tuesday, for those of you too lazy to open up your calendars. The call will be webcast, as per usual, with a link coming at a later date.

What can we expect? Well, the usual sales and revenue details. But how about more on mysterious product transitions? I’ve got my theories on that, but I can’t talk about it.

It involves robots.

Shhhh.

Our crack team of Macworld staff will, of course, be bringing you live coverage of the call, occasionally interspersed with amusing and informative insights. Yes. We’re raising the bar this time.
