Thanks for blogging this. Apple clearly wants marketshare and mindshare with Safari, on Windows and on mobile phones.
If this works out, it will be huge. Safari could be the next dominating platform for applications. And this is not impossible to achive. For example, Nokia has decided to use the Safari engine on their mobile phones.
Who could see this coming? Pure Apple genius. Having 90+ percent computers run Windows means nothing, if 30% (or perhaps even 50%) of web users prefer Safari.
Another thought: When Apple has the Safari browser on Windows, Mac, and mobile phones, the Apple-Google partnership seems even more logical.
Google develops quality web applications, and Apple makes them run on desktops, laps, and pockets. A way to rule the world together?
