itunes761.jpgWhere by “the house” I mean your house. That is, if you’ve checked Software Update recently. iTunes 7.6.1 is in the chute, and Apple’s back to its favorite coy release notes. What does this new and improved version of iTunes do, you want to know? Take it away, Apple:

iTunes 7.6.1 includes several bug fixes and improves compatibility with Apple TV software version 2.0.
Ooooh, improves compatibility. Well, I don’t have an Apple TV, so I’m afraid it’ll be up to our resident Apple TV-ologist (I’ll have you know that requires substantial post-graduate work) Mr. Pourhadi to see if this makes any real difference. For now, I leave you with this work of poetical genius:

Your Apple TV
will be better than ever
Probably. Who knows?

I heard about the upgrade when I googled "Why does my iTunes hang"

I was shocked to find an Apple Technote dated yesterday that addressed this problem that I'd had since upgrading to 7.6. The solution? Upgrade to 7.6.1.

So the technotes are out there, but you have to know what to ask for!
