Exterminate those iTunes bugs

No more iTunes bugs! For some, iTunes 7 has been among the buggiest software Apple has ever released. I’ve yet to have any problems with it, so I count myself among the few, the proud, the lucky. While rumors are flying that Apple is working hard to get iTunes 7.0.1 out the door, in the meantime our friends across the pond at Macworld UK have assembled a list of a number of support documents Apple has posted to help afflicted users deal with the problems they’re facing.

Among the worst is one that causes all sound played back through iTunes to be scratchy or distorted. A user posted a fix in the discussion boards earlier in the week, but Apple has also given their official solution, which actually involves the same procedure: changing the bitrate in the Windows QuickTime Control Panel.

The other problem relates to an issue we reported on before: Flash playback in QuickTime is now disabled by default. Turns out this might prevent users from viewing interactive booklets included with some iTunes downloads.

I know the problems are mainly the Windows version, Apple, but still, iTunes is arguably your flagship product at the moment. At least make it look like you spent time working on it.
