It’s a good thing I like the Beatles because we certainly like to talk about the Fab Four. Unfortunately, if you were hoping beyond hope that 2007 might finally be the year you can get “Let It Be,” “Hey Jude,” or “Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand” on the iTunes Store, George Harrison’s widow has some bad news: you’ll probably have to wait until 2008 . Olivia Harrison recently told Reuters that the remaining Beatles, “have a few things to work out elsewhere,” before their music can be distributed through online retailers.
It seems that the Beatles want to put their best foot forward for online distribution:
Specifically, all the Beatles CDs have been remastered—good news for fans who have long complained about the poor sound quality—and the organization wants to get the artwork ready for the physical packages. Asked if the catalog would be available online by the end of next year, she said, “Oh God, yeah. Hope so … I don’t know if it would be the end of this year, but it would be nice. Imminent, let’s put it that way.”
I don’t know about you but I can definitely taste the anticipation.

I don't understand what all the hoopla is about getting the Beatles on iTunes, etc is. All these sites act like it’s the second coming of Christ or something. Anyone who is such a die hard Beatle fan that's sitting on the edge of their seats for this obviously has a CD or 2, or 20 that they can easily rip to their hard drive.
Don't think I would call next year "imminent".
OK, enough about The Beatles on iTunes. I don't care.
Maybe its Yoko :)
" the remaining Beatles, “have a few things to work out elsewhere,” before their music can be distributed through online retailers."
I have to agree with sentiment of the other comments. Who cares? If you're a real fan, the excitement should be about the remastered CD's not the inferior quality versions that will eventually (maybe) be available via iTunes. Any idea if the remastered albums will be hybrid SACD's in Europe? Now that would be something worth reporting about.
You know what the brilliant thing about descriptive titles is? If you don't care about the Beatles, you don't have to read the post!
I'm sorry if you're in some Clockwork Orange setup being required to read everything that is posted to the Web about the Beatles on iTunes.
