When we reported that Apple had started started offering one movie for rental every weekend at the discounted price of $0.99, the most common question was how one would find it each week.
The answer, understandably enough, had been less than satisfying. You had to keep your eye on the banners at the top of the Movies section in the iTunes Store and one of them would change to advertise the Weekend Movie Pick at some point.
Reader Damien, one of the owners of Wake Interactive, took note of this and has now created 99Rental.com, a website dedicated to informing you about the Weekend Movie Pick each week.
The latest movie up for grabs is at the top of the list and he conveniently provides an iTunes link for you to follow, along with the poster, description and availability status. You can also subscribe to the RSS feed or subscribe via email if you’re so inclined.
Simple and effective, just the way we like it.

Think there's any chance we'll have decent movies appear as the Weekend Movie anytime soon? I enjoyed the Hours enough when I saw it, but did not really feel like watching it again. The last couple of weeks have been entirely blah.
You think that's bad. How about no movies at all! I live in Europe and new TV shows in iTunes are only trickling in. Movies? Rentals? No chance.
It's even worse when you get to hear about other people enjoying these new features. Apple is seriously missing out potential revenue.
