iTunes 7 adds some great functionality for iPods. Rather than the rather generic song listing, you’re presented with a wealth of information. First, you update your iPod from within iTunes. It checks the version and will download and apply the update should you opt to do so.
The status screen also shows more than just disk usage as it did before. It now gives a color coded breakdown as well as the numeric space equivalents. That’s great for identifying what you might want to cut back on to save disk space. All your iPod specific preferences are also locked into the screen.
It’s good see that Apple really is improving the iPod management experience.
