Travel geeks are quickly discovering other uses for iPod’s image display capabilities. For example, the new website ipodsubwaymaps.com allows visitors to download 23 international transit maps from Berlin to Washington, D.C. The information, stored on your device, is available to you when you need it.When I was in San Francisco for Macworld this past January, I used the iPod maps available on BART’s website to get me safely to and from my accomodations in Oakland. Sadly, there are not yet any maps available to help you avoid Scientologists in said transit stations. Keep those fingers crossed.
