i180 takes the Mac out of moving video to your iPod

I180Wht One of the features that the video iPod lacks compared to other personal media players is the ability to record video directly from an analog source. Well, now this will no longer be an issue. iLuv has made the i180, which is a dock that will not only charge your 5G iPod, but also record video to it. The $199.95 dock supports recording video from analog sources, such as TVs, VCRs, and camcorders, through AV and S-video jacks. The i180 also supports four different recording time sessions — 30, 60, 120, or 180 minutes — and recording quality at either 512kbps, 768kbps, 1mbps, or 1.5mbps. The iLuv i180 won’t be shipped until August, but is available for pre-order now. Still, even though the i180 does add video recording capabilities to the iPod, it still can’t compensate for the lack of this feature being built-in to the iPod itself. Hmm, maybe Steve Jobs will incorporate this feature into the true video, 6G iPod.
