For when you’re underwater

Waterproof shuffleWaterproof audio equipment seems to be a bit of a paradox. First of all, speakers serve little purpose underwater (since you can’t breathe and everything) and secondly, I don’t find myself needing music (or any audio, for that matter) while submerged in a liquid.

However I suppose there are a few exceptions to every rule, and waterproof audio equipment is no exception to the rules of exceptions. Maybe if you’re a swimmer, frequent shower-er, or just prone to spilling liquid on expensive equipment, you’d find a waterproof iPod of use. Well you’re in luck if this is you, as SwinMan is now offering a waterproof iPod shuffle, pictured above. For just $150 you can buy a waterproof shuffle that appears unmodified. For $250 you can buy a shuffle and a pair of waterproof headphones. I’m not quite sure how they do it, but I’d imagine its some kind of waterproof coating or glue placed over the microchips and flash memory inside.

I considered buying a waterproof shuffle just for show (imagine sitting at dinner, dropping your shuffle into a glass of lemonade, and then getting up to wash it off in the sink), but then I decided that my money would be better spent on food and shelter.

Even more interesting would be leaving the shuffle inside the lemonade, while still continuing to listen to it.

You have quite some time when you a doing 60 pools crawl :)

I am not sure what kind of music will suite for it but I suppose Underworld - Everything, Everything can't do any wrong.
