I’m hoping this is all leading up to something bigger, but Steve’s also announced a brand new iPod shuffle. You’ll be able to snag it for $79 in October at one capacity, 1GB, and it’s been completely redesigned in an aluminum case, like the 2G nanos, with a built-in clip. According to Steve, “wearability” was of key importance to 1G shuffle owners, so they took design cues from the Apple iPod wired Remote.
It’ll feature a 12 hour battery life and will come with headphones. I’m guessing no games on this sucker.
Updated with picture from The Apple Store and corrected the design inspiration.

So the new shuffle doesn't get the new earbuds? Can anyone please confirm this? Thanks!
