Does your iPod need more style, or more power?

Yesterday was the attack of the updates, today it seems like iPod accessories are flooding our RSS readers. Therefore, it’s my duty to inform you of two additions to the endless list of iPod-related gimmicks.

Nostalgic about the time when spinning a vinyl record was the way to listen to music? Contexture Design is, apparently, as they’ll sell you a custom-made iPod case made from one of your old records for CAN$52 (that’s about US$45 for you guys south of the border). You even control the click wheel through the disc’s central hole.

On a more functional note, Newer Technology has released the NuPower ViDEO+. For $50, your iPod gets a treat: it gets to sing for up to 80 hours and display your flicks for up to 16 hours. It is pretty slim for an external rechargeable battery pack, but you’re still adding some thickness to the back of your music player. For long flights and long trips though, it’s the perfect companion for your 5G iPod.
