While we’re not iPhone Central, I know there’s a bunch of savvy Apple fans among you that waited for the iPhone 3G. As the 11th draws near, it’s time to get supplies for camping out and time to prepare your Mac for that fancy new phone. They’re going to be talking, you don’t want the Mac to tell your iPhone it’ll be neglected, right?
I’m still rocking a Treo 680. It’s got a lot of personal data in it. I’ve been using Missing Sync to sync, but more times than not, it’s more of a hassle than anything. I’ll have to sync before that fateful day comes. I’ll have to deal with at least one more awkward sync.
In addition to getting my personal data in line, it’s time to look through my music library. What music should I be carrying around? What podcasts? Those custom playlists are going to need to be collected now.
Finally, I know nothing about any software for my Mac that helps work with the iPhone (other than PhoneView of course). Help me out. What software do you currently use and love? What rituals are you going to need to go though this week with your Mac?
I was using Phoneview to sync notes, and am hoping the App Store launch on July 11 will have some new apps to help with the sync'ing issue, particularly for notes.
Oh I'm not using an iPhone though.. using an iPod touch.
Is there somethign happening this Friday? ;-)
There's only one app I use with my iPhone - iTunes. Everything else just syncs with normal iApps.
I've been waiting for the official 3rd party apps. Specifically, OmniFocus versions for my iPhone and Mac.
Personally, I use MegaPhone and enjoy it pretty well. It's only for certain times when I want to ensure I've backed up all my data.
