iPhone release date totally revealed, 100%

June 2007Blogging Stocks—one of our very favorite blogs in the whole entire world, and why would we possibly lie to you except for comedic effect?—has collected the sum total of all knowledge related to the date of the iPhone release. We’re talking everything: known knowns, known unknowns—heck, we’ll even throw in those dastardly unknown unknowns. They’ve consulted the stars, the oracles, and Randy, the eight year old kid next door. And that extensive search for the one true piece of information has yielded up a firm date about which there can be no dispute.

June.

I know. I know. My breath was taken away. They’ve even, through some sort of diabolical black magic, managed to narrow it down further, though Lord knows what kind of hoodoo it took: they say sometime between June 11th and June 30th. As you can see, I’ve decided to mark my calendar so I’ll be ready for the iPhone’s appearance. That’s only twenty days of camping out—pshaw, that’s less than for the last Star Wars movie.

On waiting in line, Blogging Stocks writer Sarah Gilbert says: “I know I’ll be in line, but here’s the ironic part: I won’t be able to live blog from my iPhone, because I won’t have it yet.” I guess I’d call that more paradoxical than ironic. Ironic is more like running a headline called “iPhone launch date: Everything we know about when the iPhone will be available” which doesn’t really contain anything Steve Jobs didn’t tell us in January.
