Simple, easy, cheap USB handset for VoIP

200610131338VoIP is becoming more and more popular with people dropping their land-lines in favor of the (usually cheaper) internet & computer based alternative. Perhaps you use VoIP and are looking for a sweet handset, or maybe you don’t use VoIP, in which case it’s time to start looking. In either case, MacMice began shipping its Danger Phone today, which looks just spiffy. I haven’t used it, but here’s a description from MacMice’s website, which seems to put it perfectly:

Instead of making our handset look like a “real” telephone, and covering it with gadgetry, a fake display, and flashing lights, we focused on how people actually use a VoIP handset. And, we stripped away the nonsense to deliver pure magic.

Easy USB connectivity, a simple straightforward design, compatibility with Skype, and only a $30 MSRP—I only wish it came in a wireless version.
