MacBook Air Mossberg interviewIn an interview for the Wall Street Journal, Walt Mossberg, “the tech guru for the Wall Street Journal”, talked about his early impressions of the MacBook Air. The first question thrown his was was whether he was wowed by the product. Mossberg, of course, ever careful to walk the politically correct line promptly replied that he was “professionally not allowed to be wowed”. Smooth as ever, Walt!

Overall, though, he found the MacBook Air to be a pretty good product based on what he’d seen so far at the Expo and promised to reveal more details when he has had a chance to properly review a unit. The other thing that he found “fairly impressive” was the sales numbers jobs reported for the iPhone - four million units in the first two hundred days on the market, selling at an average of 20,000 units per day.

Check out the Mossberg interview and Wall Street Journal’s coverage of the keynote by Nick Wingfield on WSJ.com, if you are so inclined.
