Maxxuss, the hacker who facilitated the installing of OS X on non-Apple PCs, has pulled a Jimmy Hoffa, and vanished without a trace. A post on the OSx86 Project’s website raises concerns about the disappearance:
There are a few possibilities. It’s conceivable (although somewhat unlikely) that he simply decided to leave the hacking of OS X on PCs to others. He also could have been hired by Apple. Or sued. Or jailed. You gotta love a world where the major possibilities for a person’s disappearance are that they’ve been hired or jailed. Kind of opposite ends of the spectrum there.
Personally, I like to think maybe he’s on a beach somewhere, sipping froofy drinks with little umbrellas in them, but perhaps it’s more likely that karma finally caught up with him.
