One of the most infrequently visited pages on Apple’s official website for me is the ‘Start’ page. Although I haven’t removed it from its coveted position as the homepage in Safari, I very rarely think about visiting it because it never really has anything on it that I didn’t already know.
However, if you do not have tens of RSS subscriptions in NetNewsWire for Apple-related blogs and websites, you may find it a lot more noteworthy than I do. And now that it’s been redesigned to cram much more information into it, it’s more useful than ever.
In addition to letting visitors know about the latest news headlines and notifying them about new product releases, the start page now also has a prominent spot for Apple’s movie trailers website and the online store. The bottom of the page is now dominated by the familiar iTunes widget that lists the latest and greatest in music, movies, TV shows, audiobooks, and iPhone apps.
Go check it out.
