The poor iMac, cast into a corner and forgotten

Core2DuoimacsNew iPods, new nanos, a movie download store, iTunes 7, and the promise of the iTV! So much to talk about! But what about poor little iMac, who has been cast into a dark corner and forgotten?

Well Macworld certainly has not forgotten about the new iMac Core 2 Duo. In fact, they even have full benchmarks up of the BTO 2.33GHz Core 2 Duo iMac (check them out)! Basically, it boils down to the fact that this iMac is one blazing fast computer. It even beat out the 2GHz quad-core Mac Pro in several benchmark tests. That’s amazing.

The high-end consumer computers are beginning to blur the line between consumer and professional. Granted, the iMac still lacks the upgradability of the Mac Pro, but the real-world computing tests are nonetheless impressive.
