You know how MacBook Pros can get ahem warm? Jonathan ‘Wolf’ Rentzsch was having issues getting Mac OS X to install on his. The discs loaded up fine on a G5 and a Pismo. CDs worked just fine on the MBP. What’s left for a geek to do?
Put it in the refrigerator of course. It works for reviving dying hard drives (no joke, it really does). The discs then went perfectly as the did the install. He’s now moving on the important issues.
