The good folks at iFixit, resellers of Mac and iPod parts, have posted a handful of photos detailing the insides of Apple’s new Core 2 Duo MacBook Pros. For the most part, the insides are almost identical to the earlier Core Duo models, except for the slight re-arrangement of a few bits and pieces.
iFixit also reports that some have been successful using D-Link’s 802.11n drivers with Boot Camp, making use of the new wireless hardware. These new Core 2 models also sport three WiFi antennae, as opposed to two, which is the standard in nearly every other laptop. Hopefully the addition of another antenna will compensate for the underwhelming wireless reception on aluminum (and older titanium) Macs. Overall, the new MacBook Pros seem like a worthwhile upgrade inside and out, and have yet to be met with any of the Rev A bugs.
